This one I actually had published in an anthology.

My heart goes out to all who lost loved ones,
to all who lost their friends and family.
As for the rest of us, we are all numb,
unable to believe this tragedy.

I don't think that anyone of us knew,
how frail we were.  It should encourage us
to know that the worst among us can do
no more than bring out the best within us.
